We handle personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Contact details you give us: name, email address and phone number when you book a fitting, send an enquiry or create an account.

Fitting details: showroom, date and time, the pieces you are interested in and any notes you share.

Fit profile (optional and consent-gated): height, weight, chest, waist, shoe size and posture observations.

Account activity: saved pieces, enquiry history and fitting history.

Technical data needed to serve and secure the site.

To confirm, prepare for and manage your private fittings.

To answer your enquiries and prepare cloth, lasts and options before you arrive.

To cut garments accurately where you have consented to us storing your measurements.

To operate your account and keep the platform secure.

Your fit profile is only stored if you explicitly consent to it. Nothing is recorded silently.

It is visible only to you and to atelier staff preparing your commission — never to other clients and never used for advertising.

You can download a copy of your fit profile, correct it, or delete it at any time from your account. Deleting it does not cancel your fittings.

We do not sell your personal information.

We use trusted service providers to host the platform, store data and send transactional email. They process information on our instruction only.

We disclose information where the law requires it.

Every table enforces row-level security so you can only read your own records.

Product and client photography is stored privately and served through short-lived signed links.

Staff access to the atelier back office is role-gated and limited to what a commission requires.

Fitting and enquiry records are kept while your relationship with the atelier is active, and thereafter only as long as the law requires.

Your fit profile is kept until you delete it or ask us to.

You may ask what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to a use, or withdraw consent for your fit profile.

Write to hello@coact.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable period. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

We use only the storage needed to keep you signed in and to keep the site working. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

We update this policy as the platform evolves. The version and date below tell you which set you are reading.
